Eligibility:
The successful candidate will hold an MSc in Computer Science, Telematics or comparable field and will have an interest and demonstrated abilities in some or all of the following: Knowledge Based Systems, (Clinical) Decision Support, mobile applications, eHealth/mHealth, medical informatics, distributed systems, modeling, (formal) verification and validation, decision theory.

College Scholarships Description: The two PhDs will collaborate together and with PhDs from other partners. Proficiency in written and spoken English and the ability to perform research work in an international multidisciplinary team are essential. You will be expected to undertake international travel to participate in project meetings, conferences etc. PhD Position 2: Clinical Decision Support for the mobile patient The goal of this PhD project is to investigate, design, develop and evaluate generic mechanisms for implementing evidence-based Clinical Decision Support (CDS) on a mobile platform in the context of a larger distributed system.

Eligibility:
Applicants must have completed a higher education degree of computer science or areas related to distributed computing in the M.Sc. level of the European LMD system (300 ECTS credits), or equivalent academic qualifications from an internationally recognized university. Excellent grades from courses in distributed systems, operating systems, networking, programming languages, computer architectures, and theory of computing are expected.

Scholarships Description: EMJD-DC intends to become a permanent reference model for international doctoral studies in Distributed Systems and beyond. Students carry out their research work over up to four years in two universities from different countries, with additional mobility to industry in most projects. Joint training schools will cover both scientific topics and transferable skills, such as project and scientific management, communication, innovation techniques. EMJD-DC will initially award double degrees, however a task will study pathways to the implementation of a Joint Degree.
